Integrated education

The overriding goals of the programme are:

• better integration of local educational stakeholders and systems
• the establishment of local proactive communities to shoulder responsibility for education
• improve access to tailored educational programmes.

The creation and continued development of integrated education systems at the local level is the central funding priority. This is to be achieved by strengthening education management and educational monitoring systems in the municipalities.

The funding initiative incorporates the lessons learned from the "Learning Locally" structural programme (2009-2013) and related programmes at state level. This seeks to both strengthen the work of the transfer agencies and ensure the broadest possible dissemination of the findings of the "Learning locally" programme.
